It is an honour to have your child and family as a part of our exciting and vibrant school community. For many of you it is your first experience as a parent of a child at school.

As we continue to develop our wonderful school, we would like to invite you on a shared educational journey that is the best for your child. As partners in your child’s education you will be able to support us to create opportunities for our school to be a dynamic centre of our wonderfully diverse community.

Yanchep Rise Canteen Expression of Interest

We are seeking expressions of interest to operate our school canteen from Term 1 2022 onwards, providing morning tea and lunches for our student and staff population. If you are interested in working in a friendly student centred environment and utilise a low waste packaging/recycling approach, this may be the opportunity for you.

Previous experience in operating a school canteen will be considered advantageous but not essential.

We pride ourselves on our commitment to the students of our school. Our canteen is an important part of our commitment to our school community by providing healthy and affordable meals. Rental obligations will be minimal to minimise operating costs. We currently have a student population of almost 180 students which is expected to grow to about 210 students next year.

Expressions of Interest to operate our canteen are due by Monday 1st November 2021 . They can be submitted via email to  helen.demiris@education.wa.edu.au and addressed to the Principal, Helen Demiris. Representatives from our school community and the Principal will consider submissions and will meet with prospective operators before making a decision.

The operator/s will comply with the Department of Education’s Healthy Food and Drink policy and procedures, including:

  • Promote healthy eating to the school community
  • Complete Traffic Light training
