SAM CLARK

My name is Sam Clark and I am beyond excited to be joining the Yanchep Rise Team as a foundation staff member next year. For the past 3 years I have been teaching at Yanchep Beach Primary School and I look forward to continue working with families within this community next year. I currently teach a wonderful Year 6 class and especially enjoy teaching upper primary. I am passionate about building positive relationships with all students based on a foundation of reciprocal respect. I truely believe that in order to achieve academic success, positive partnerships with students and parents is key. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, walking my Cavoodle (Toby) and training each afternoon at my local CrossFit gym. I am excited to meet you all and I look forward to working with you all next year.

LAUREN ROBINSON

My name is Lauren Robinson and I am currently a Year Five teacher at Yanchep Beach Primary School. Over the last five years, I have had the absolute pleasure of getting to know the local community and have enjoyed the opportunity to teach students from Year Two to Five during this time. I am elated to have been appointed as a foundation staff member at Yanchep Rise and look forward to continuing to strengthen my relationships with local families. I enjoy being creative and spend my time outside of the classroom making digital art and drawing. I cannot wait for the journey ahead and look forward to foster a school culture where I am able to help every child achieve their full potential

CARLA MARTIN

My name is Carla Martin and I am an Early Childhood Teacher. I have recently been teaching in the Yanchep/Two Rocks community and am really looking forward to joining the Yanchep Rise team. At the end of last year, I returned from working in the Pilbara, where I had been teaching for the past couple of years. I absolutely loved teaching up North but decided it was time to swap the red dirt for the white sand and sea! My passion is teaching literacy and I am dedicated to supporting students to learn to read and write. When I am not teaching, I love travelling, reading, going to the beach and spending time with family and friends. I am excited to meet you all and to create a lot of positive memories together!  

lauren cornock

I am a passionate Early Childhood Teacher and graduated from ECU in 2007. I have been working in Pre Primary and Kindy classes at Beaumaris for the past five years and am very excited to be a foundation staff member at Yanchep Rise. I am married with four children as well as a pet dog. When I am not teaching I enjoy travelling and spending time at the beach.   

jessica DARBY

My name is Jess Darby and I am very excited to be joining the Yanchep Rise team as a member of staff next year. I am an enthusiastic Early Childhood Educator with a desire to assist my students to achieve their very best. My teaching career began in the Pilbara, where I taught Year 1 at Tambrey Primary School. Over the 3 years I was living in Karratha, I developed a love for the outdoors and a passion for Aboriginal Education. In 2018, I relocated back to Perth and built a beautiful home with my partner (Matt) in Yanchep. I currently teach Pre-primary at Koondoola Primary School and thoroughly enjoy exploring, learning and having fun with the students. I am committed to working collaboratively with families and the community to ensure that children from all backgrounds receive the best possible chance of success. I am really looking forward to meeting and working with the families at Yanchep Rise Primary School next year. 

JOE NIBLETT

Hi, my name is Joe.

I am a graduate teacher who has spent the last school year working at a school in Kingsley teaching a split year 2/3 class. I graduated from Edith Cowan University’s Joondalup campus in 2019 having completed my Bachelor of Education. I emigrated to Perth in 2010 from Somerset in the United Kingdom and have since resided in the northern suburbs. I enjoy the freedom that the WA weather offers us and love to spend time exploring our stunning beaches and taking my pet Labrador for beach walks with my fiancé.

 

I am passionate about teaching and child development and am looking forward to working in partnership with the school community at Yanchep Rise Primary next year to develop your child’s academic and social emotional learning. 

MARK AMES

My name is Mark Ames and I am very excited to be a foundation staff member at Yanchep Rise in 2021. I am a graduate teacher who obtained my Bachelor of Education in 2019 at ECU. I spent 2020 as specialist teacher at West Beechboro Primary School. I am a very dedicated and passionate teacher and am very much looking forward to being a specialist teacher at Yanchep Rise. I am married (to a teacher) and we have two beautiful boys (aged 1 and 3) that make me feel that being a dad is the best job in the world (apart from a teacher of course….). I look forward to meeting you all next year as we embark on this journey together.

ANA LARGE

My name is Ana Large, and I am beyond excited to be part of the Yanchep Rise P.S. foundation staff for 2021. I graduated in 2004 as a PE teacher in Portugal and moved to Australia in 2007 where I continued my teaching career in Kalgoorlie until 2018 when we move back to Perth. Since then, my husband, our lovely three children and I established our dream home in Two Rocks.

I am a highly motivated, innovative, and enthusiastic teacher and actively promote a healthy lifestyle across the school in collaboration with the school staff, students, parents, and the community. When I am not teaching, I love to spend time with my family and our pets, going to the beach or volunteering time to the Yanchep / Two Rocks community by organising free events like Carols in the Park and Australia Day Breakfast. I cannot wait to meet and work with you all next year.

CHERYL LUFF

My name is Cheryl Luff and I am beyond excited to be part of the foundation team at Yanchep Rise Primary School. I am married with 3 grown children. I have been a education assistant for 12 years working in kindy and Pre Primary. I believe my passion in working with students will help achieve a positive enthusiastic culture amongst students and the community.

 

CHRISSIE CLEMENTS-JEWERY

Hi, my name is Chrissie and I am thrilled and feel extremely privileged to be joining the Yanchep Rise team as an Education Assistant, foundation staff member. 

In 2014, I emigrated to Perth WA from North Yorkshire, England, with my husband and three children who are now in secondary school. I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family and attending CrossFit most days with my son. 

I am passionate about building positive relationships and teaching independence and excited to be supporting our wonderful teachers in assisting our students to achieve their very best. I have worked in a variety of different schools and from this, I have gained experience and knowledge which I bring with me to Yanchep Rise.

I am looking forward to meeting and working with all of our new students and parents in the New Year 2021.

ANTHEA WOOD

My name is Anthea Wood and I am very excited to be part of the Yanchep Rise Primary Schools community for 2021 and beyond.  I grew up and have always lived in Kalgoorlie and this is where I have worked as an Education Assistant for the last 11 years. During that time, I worked across many year levels from kindergarten to year 4 as well as in special needs. I have mentored students in piano both privately and as part of setting up a music ensemble at the school I worked in. I have coached year 5’s and 6’s in netball for interschool competitions and enjoy being active across many aspects of the school setting. Building relationships with students, parents and staff is very important to me, I am looking forward to meeting you. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with loved ones, playing the piano, taking my dog for walks and gardening.
