We are the Yanchep Rise Primary School foundation P&C Committee.  We would love you to join us at our meetings and help us to support our children. Our meetings are advertised on our term planner and anyone can join. Upon joining you can contribute ideas for fundraisers, the running of our canteen, book club and many other initiatives. By joining you won’t be “dobbed in” for a job! Our meetings occur twice a term at the school, usually in the morning after school drop off in the Boardroom located in the Admin block. P&C Associations are an officially recognised forum where anyone interested in the welfare of government schools can meet to discuss educational issues. The objects of an association are to promote the interests of the school or group of schools for which it is formed through:

  • Cooperation between parents, teachers, students and members of the general community
  • Assisting in the provision of resources, facilities and amenities for the school
  • The fostering of community interest in educational matters

P&C’s give parents an opportunity to learn about the school’s policies and programs by:

  • Organising ways in which parents can share in shaping and developing school policies
  • Bring parents together to share information and views
  • Assist the school in building positive attitudes to students and their families
  • Help raise funds to provide extra resources
